Why do I get up so early? Well, I’m hardwired that way for starters. Then there are practical reasons, like getting a jumpstart on the day–I can get some writing or reading done before hungry 6 year olds awake. But my favorite thing to do is get out for a walk as many mornings as I can. We happen to live by beautiful Horn Pond, and before 6 a.m. I virtually have it to myself. The sunrise isn’t always so stunning, like this one yesterday, but getting up and out early is a great way to connect with nature and get energized for the day.
